Calm Air's Firearms and Ammunition Policy

Firearms

  • All firearms must be declared upon check-in and the declaration signed by the passenger.
  • Each gun case will be counted as part of your checked baggage allowance and may contain no more than 2 rifles. Applicable baggage fees and excess charges will apply.
  • Are ONLY accepted as checked baggage.
  • Must be unloaded.
  • Must be packaged in a locked, heavy-duty/hard sided non-see-through gun case (trigger lock is required for restricted firearms).

Ammunition

  • All ammunition must be declared upon check-in and the declaration signed by the passenger.
  • Is ONLY accepted as checked baggage.
  • Must be packaged in the manufacturer’s original container be securely packed separately from the firearm.
  • Must not weigh more than 5kg (11lbs) per passenger.
  • Only shells and cartridges are accepted (gunpowder and gunpowder pellets are not permitted).
